Our Story

We know that dogs are one of the most (if not the most) important parts of a person’s life. Our mission is to create attainable luxury for community dog owners so they can rest assured knowing their furry family members will always have a safe and exciting home-away-from-home when needed.

Owner, Tawnya Liva built Canine Meadows Pet Resort purely from a place of love and compassion for dogs and their owners. Having been a vet assistant for 8 years, she often boarded dogs overnight at the vet clinic, not because they were ill, but just because there were little to no quality options for dog boarding. She saw there was a growing need for a safe, comfortable and loving space that owners would trust sending their furry family member for day or overnight care. And so, the concept for Canine Meadows was born.

No two dogs are alike, and dog owners crave a sense of peace and security when faced with having to find overnight or long-term care for their furry loved ones. Every detail about our guest’s routines, unique needs, health and safety protocols, behavioural spectrum and enrichment opportunities were meticulously thought out in the conception of our space. We are careful to accommodate each guest with activities, socializing and rest time that is appropriate for their personality and ability.

We are here for you, our community — for those faced with sudden-onset illness or mobility issues, environmental challenges such as smoky fire season, travel plans, or families who just want their dog to have a little vacation at the pet resort with their friends.
